UPDATE 9/25/10

Dear Honey Bees Pets,

I adopted Tigger from Rescue five years ago he was in 3 different homes before I met him. Never thought in a million years I would be in a fight for his life. I wanted to update Tiggers supporters. Tigger is the dog who fought all odds with liver cancer in June of 08.  His vet said he a few months to live. But with his renowned vet Dr. Weisse now at  AMCNY  Tigger had two operations ,embolizations and chemo.  Tigger celebrated two birthdays since that dx. in 08. Our pet insurance maxed out with just two treatments. Tiggers medical treatments was over 20,000 dollars . We now have a balance of 8,000. Every dollar that goes in his collection jar at Honey Bees goes to Canine CancerAwareness.org  which sends the donations to the hospital. Visit Tiggers story on www.caninecancerawareness.org ) (under dogs to sponsor ). Tigger is also featured on AMCNY ( dog who fought all odds), Best Friends NJ network, ( fight to save Tigger ) , Canine liver foundation, and doggies.com. Big thank you to Honey Bees for raising donations for Tigger. Thank you to everyone who donates your change that goes into the jar at Honey Bees for Tigger. To SPONSOR  Tigger you can do so by placing your change or a check made out to CCA  in his jar at Honey Bees, or you can go to www.caninecancerawareness.org click on dogs to sponsor) . Donations are tax deduct. CCA is a 501(3) .  Thanks again vets call Tigger little Rocky the fighter.. Cancer is a word .. until it hits home....

Happy Birthday to Tigger 8-24

I would like to thank Honey Bee Pet store and their customers for helping in donations towards Tiggers cancer treatments.  Tigger has been featured on caninecancerawareness.org, Poomix.com, Best Friends NJ network and Reilleys story.  Tigger has undergone two chemoembolizations last year, which made the tumor smaller in December 2008.  He had a tumor removed along with a blood transfusion.  In January he underwent 5 chemo treatments, ultrasounds and ct scans.  Now in June six months after the surgery his scan showed no regrowth of the tumor.  I did this for Tigger not me since he was in various homes and almost put down.  A rescue saved him and I adopted him.  He deserves a life filled with love.  He never lost a pound of weight and has always played like a puppy.  For now, he has to go for ultrasounds every two months instead of every month.  Tigger is still in need of donations.  Please continue your support!  I did not ask Honey Bees for help.  As soon as they heard the story they set up their own jar for donations.  Every dollar you put in the jar is matched by Honey Bee Pets and goes directly to CCA and they send it directly to Tiggers vet, The Mathew Ryan Vet Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

Thank You,
Tiggers Mom
